    I remember that trip. there was a political election on here in the Southern Ireland. The 4 of us passed a drunk man in the street who (sanitised version) encouraged us to "Vote for Charlie Haughey!"

    As we passed him by, John said, somewhat sardonically, "I see the party machine is well oiled "Our John" had wit second to none.
